Who is this J Matthews character?

Short Version: J Matthews is the host of this show. Go here to learn more about him.

Long Version: J Matthews has been a DJ for 12+ years and continues to do so until his arms get tired. Most of his life, he has resided in the 612 (thats Minneapolis, MN) where he has been influenced by such local DJ stars such as Chuck Love, Alexander East, E Tones, Jevne, Jack Trash, and hundreds of other local DJs (Seriously, there are hundreds, if not thousands in this city).

J Matthews is a resident DJ at First Avenue Nightclub in Minneapolis, MN. He is also co partier of HotDish, a monthly party that goes balls to the walls to bring the the funkiest and jackinest house music to the Electronic Dance Community in the Twin Cities. His partner in crime for these events is Nate Laurence (Spatula City Records, Guesthouse Music, Flapjack Records, and more). Both J Matthews and Nate Laurence go out throughout the city and DJ various clubs, parties and raves under the HotDish moniker as well.

J Matthews has also spent 3 years on the East Coast (Boston, MA) where he was deeply influenced in the deeper side of underground house music (no pun intended there). In Bean Town, he was highly influenced by the local, national, and international talent of underground deep house. But his roots ached of the Minneapolis Vibe and culture. So he moved back home (plus its wicked expensive to live out there).
